FYI: I have displayed below the text of several emails I sent
to our listserv since I last saw you in class.
-----------------

I usually don't send this many emails, but since we are just getting started,

I want to make sure we are all on the same page.

1) During your in-class presentations (4-5 minutes) make 2-3 take home statements.

These would be written in our class notes and become potential exam material.

Here are my take home statements from the presentation I made on Great Pyrenees.

*Used as a livestock guardian dog

*Purebreds have double dew claws on the medial surface of their rear legs

dewclaws

*Developed in the steep mountain slopes of the Pyrenees (between France and Spain).

2) Home-Prepared Diets for Dogs and Cats---This is a link on my website

that does a great job of explaining home-prepared diets.

Written by a DVM/PhD who worked at UC Davis.

----------------------------------
"Something about Pets"

When we see each other on Wed. (1/20) I will give everyone the dates (2 separate dates) when
they must make their 2 presentations (dates start on 1/25).

If you want to get started with your first presentation,

I am looking for students to volunteer to do their first presentation on either

1/20 or 1/25.

Please think about this. You could get started and get your
first presentation completed early in the semester.

So email me if you can present on either 1/20 or 1/25.

We can talk via email to ensure your topic is acceptable.

Remember, 4-5 minutes, with one image/slide/screen capture/website  emailed to me.

Pets welcome.........(arranged with Rod beforehand)

We will have everyone do one presentation before anyone does their second presentation.

The math questions I displayed Wednesday

Someone couldn't find this

http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~rallrich/space/math.html

-------------------
It was great meeting everyone this past week.
You had great questions both M and W.
I have updated our syllabus as follows:
1---Added exam dates
2---Expanded the study session to a 2-hour block
3---Indicated we now have our classroom for an hour after class on Mondays.
